I got the Custom Domain thing figured out. Everything should now be right as rain, but if you notice something that doesn't seem to work right, please let me know!
Feline hepatic lipidosis, also known as fatty liver, is a reversible form of liver failure caused by inadequate diet. A cat's liver is not made to process fat stores,
so when a cat doesn't eat enough for a while — for whatever reason — its liver gets bogged down trying to use its fat stores for energy. The treatment is to
force-feed the cat a high protein diet, which will help the liver to start functioning normally again.
About Cleo's Progress
My cat's first bout of fatty liver disease occurred in November of 2005. After about a month of force-feeding, she started eating on her own, and the danger seemed
to have passed. In March of 2008, however, she began losing weight again.
The mission of this website is both to track Cleo's progress, and to provide information for other cat owners on feline hepatic lipidosis.
